Johanna Christensen, DNP, APRN, FNP-BC, PMHNP-BC

Owner

Johanna Christensen, DNP, APRN, FNP-BC, PMHNP-BC, is a dual board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner and Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with more than 16 years of nursing and healthcare experience. She is a co-founder and provider at Clear Sky Wellness, PLLC, serving patients in Detroit Lakes and Hawley, Minnesota, as well as through telehealth. Johanna provides psychiatric evaluations, medication management, mental health care, and urgent care services with an emphasis on individualized, collaborative, whole-person care. Her professional background also includes public health, healthcare leadership, education, and rural healthcare. She is licensed to practice in Minnesota, North Dakota, and Hawaii.

Bryan Christensen, MBA, LPN, EMT, FFII

Practice Manager

Bryan is the Practice Manager at Clear Sky Wellness, PLLC, where he supports day-to-day clinic operations and helps create a welcoming, patient-centered experience. Born and raised in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota, Bryan is a proud graduate of Detroit Lakes High School and brings a deep commitment to service that has shaped his entire career. With more than 20 years of experience as an emergency medical technician and 16 years as a nurse—much of it in emergency department nursing. He also serves his community as a volunteer firefighter and Deputy Fire Chief with the Callaway Volunteer Fire Department, reflecting his long-standing dedication to teamwork, preparedness, and compassionate care. Bryan is a Minnesota Fire Initiative (MnFIRE) instructor, teaching on topics including cardiac health, mental health, cancer, sleep, fitness, and nutrition. Outside of work, Bryan stays active with kettlebell training and enjoys making music—especially drumming and playing the ukulele.

Mariah Soderling, MA, LPC, SAC

Licensed Professional Counselor

Mariah is committed to supporting individuals on their path toward recovery, healing, and emotional wellness. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Vocational Rehabilitation from the University of Wisconsin–Stout in 2011 and a Master of Arts in Community Counseling from Lakeland University in 2020. She is also a Substance Abuse Counselor (SAC), bringing specialized experience in the treatment of substance use concerns. Mariah specializes in working with individuals experiencing substance use disorders, anxiety, depression, and trauma-related concerns. Her therapeutic approach integrates Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based practices, and Brainspotting. Through these approaches, she helps clients gain insight, strengthen coping skills, process difficult experiences, and create meaningful, lasting change. Brainspotting is a brain- and body-based therapy that supports the nervous system’s natural ability to process and heal from unresolved experiences. Mariah incorporates this approach to help clients engage in deeper emotional and trauma-focused work in a supportive, individualized way. Outside of the therapy room, Mariah enjoys staying active, spending time with family and friends, and tending to her garden. Mariah is currently licensed to practice in Wisconsin and is pursuing licensure in Minnesota and North Dakota to expand her ability to serve clients across the region.
